I was always one of those crazy kids that was beyond afraid of dogs. I have many "fond" memorie of being chased around tables, yards, etcs. by dogs. Eventually, my fear of dogs lessened but I still didn't like them. So, you would be surprised when I tell you that I now own a dog...his name is Stewie, I don't know what kind of dog he is, and we purchased him from the humane society. Up to the day we bought Stewie, I thought I had always wanted a cute little purse dog...say a Morkie (maltese and yorkie mix) but I recieved a rude awakening when we took Stewie home. He was far from the perfect little Morkie I had always pictured; he was a boy, wild, refused to sit on your lap, pooped EVERYWHERE, and just grossed me out. Not only did he disgust me but, I began to realize that he would change my life in more ways than I thought. These changes were of course stupid and selfish..such as staying up late on the computer or watching tv or having to take him out when I woke up first. It got to the point where I told my mom I could never love this dog and she responded by saying "you will someday." As time passed I grew angrier and more disgusted with the dog...until recently. I began to enjoy the stupid little things he did; like chasing his tail, biting your feet, always trying to butt in, sniffing your face, and his stupid name. I finally let myself love him and now I couldn't imagine coming home and Stewie not being there to greet me with a bark and his crooked tail that never stops wagging.
